2024 WGA Annual Leadership Luncheon
It’s that time of year again, when nationwide industry members come together for the Winegrape Growers of America Annual Leadership Luncheon. The luncheon will take place during the 2024 Unified Wine & Grape Symposium, at the Hyatt Regency, in Sacramento.
Please join WGA on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, for lunch, networking, a presentation from our keynote speaker, and the honoring of an individual with the Rich Smith Distinguished Service Award.

Richard R. Smith Distinguished Service Award
We will once again honor an individual with the
Rich Smith Distinguished Service Award.
Richard (Rich) Smith of Paraiso Vineyards and Smith Family Wines in the Monterey region was first and foremost a family man who was also a successful grape grower, winery owner, and colleague to all. For decades Rich was a highly effective, collegial, selfless and respected leader in the American grape and wine industry. He devoted significant money, time, and energy to many industry organizations created to further the common good, spreading good will wherever he went and with whomever he talked.
Three of those organizations—National Grape & Wine Initiative, WineAmerica, and Winegrape Growers of America—have, in the spirit of Rich, collaborated to create a Rich Smith Distinguished Service Award to honor his legacy and recognize other people who demonstrate similar qualities and contributions.
